The quixotic journey of RFKjr from Dem to Indy to... what, exactly?
As you know, I'm no fan of Rumpolini. Yet, in trying to be a fair and just man, I have defended him when lies about him were put forth by the media and his opponents, and it's quite clear that he has been the specific target of lawfare and a weaponized DoJ/FBI/legal system.
As you know, I was very interested in RFKjr's run for presidency, given his monumental takedown of Fauxi and his commitment to free speech, medical freedom, and dismantling the agency capture that has crippled US government. All this came to a screeching halt when he turned into a rabid Likudnik-parroting apologist for Zionistan and genocide in Gaza.
It is very likely that on Friday, Kennedy will announce he is giving up his independent race for the Offal Orifice and will endorse Orange Man as the only way to prevent the coup that threw ByeDone under the bus from further turning the USA into a non-democratic state where the Constitution and rule of law is completely terminated with extreme prejudice.
Likely, the deal will involve some highly-relevant position in a Trump administration, one where his years of expertise can actually do some actual swamp-draining. Perhaps heading the CIA or FBI or CDC so he can immolate it and scatter the ashes to the wind. Maybe some super-czar position to oversee ALL executive department agencies and reign them all in. In any case, it would be an interesting coda to his quixotic run, and more likely than not clinch a Trump win in November (assuming he's not still a target for permanent retirement).
I've never been a fan of choosing the lesser EVIL. But I can see the reasoning in choosing the less-worse option. The Cackling Queen of Word Salad is the most vapid, incompetent, unqualified person to run for the office of Chief Executive I can recall in my lifetime. As a complete puppet of the donor class — the psychotic warmongers and grifters who already run most of the show — there would be nothing left of a constitutional democratic republic worth living in.
I've seen what four years of Trump could do, and did, so I don't believe the hype that he's H!tler or Putin's puppet; IF he were, we'd have seen it then. Yeah, he didn’t really drain the swamp, and he let bad advisors give him bad advice that trumped his instincts. But he didn’t start any new wars, and didn’t make me wear a mask, so there’s that.
I suggest you read this Substack essay by Dr. Naomi Wolf. It's as clear an exposition on the logic of a COALITION NOT MERGER between the Kennedy and Trump forces for this ONE and only ONE purpose, to prevent a culmination of the DNC coup that did not involve ONE VOTE for Harris by ANYONE in the US! And all that that implies.
It is hardly what *I* would want as my best choice, but it's better than letting the lying grifters of the DNC and their backers get their way.
